The Wedding Ceremony

Proverbs 18:22

The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the Lord.

1 Peter 3:7

In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives.  Treat your wife with understanding as you live together.  She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life.  Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.

Ephesians 4:2

Always be humble and gentle.  Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.   Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together in peace.  For there is on body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.

1 John 4:16

God is love. and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.  And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect.  So, we will not be afraid on the day of judgement, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.  It does not demand its own way.  It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.  It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.  Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Genesis 2:18

Then the Lord God said, “it is not good for the man to be alone.  I will make a helper who is just right for him.  So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep,  While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening.  Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib and he brought her to the man.  “At last” the man exclaimed.  “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh of my flesh!  She will be called woman, because she was taken from man.  This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.
